Named for a hero from Belgian lore, BRABO Tasting Room blends the rustic with the modern, the Continental with the colonial, in a 150-year-old building adjacent to Old Town Alexandria’s Lorien Hotel. Crafted by Executive Chef Robert Wiedmaier and Chef de Cuisine Harper McClure, our innovative menu of sociable café fare takes its cues from traditional Belgian cuisine and the seasonal bounty of the mid-Atlantic region. Our regulars and guests love Chef’s signature mussels, charcuterie, artisanal cheese platters and pizzas and savory tarts wood-fired in our brick oven. Grab a seat at our handcrafted 11-seat zinc bar or in the dining room, recently revitalized by renowned designer Vincente Wolf, to sample our wine list with three- and five-ounce pours, and explore beers from Belgium and beyond.
BRABO Tasting Room keeps things spontaneous with our no-reservations seating. Some of the irresistibles you might find on your visit to BRABO Tasting Room:
