Ballston Restaurant Challenge
The Ballston Business Improvement District (BID) has launched the next level of its campaign to showcase Ballston as the ideal place to start up and grow a business. With Top Chef Mike Isabella, a DC chef and restaurateur, at the helm of this new campaign, the Ballston BID is thrilled to begin the search for Ballston’s next big restaurateur.
On Monday, January 27 more than 200 restaurant industry professionals, friends and media gathered at POWERHOUSE in Georgetown to officially kick-off the 2014 RAMMY Awards season.
CohnReznick LLP, the 11th largest accounting, tax, and advisory firm in the United States, is teaming up with Results Thru Strategy, a consortium of hospitality industry experts, to help restaurants and hotels create sustainable strategies that yield long-term results in cost savings and revenue generation.

The Cherry Picks Restaurant Program is produced in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW). It highlights the area’s vibrant and diverse restaurant scene for over 1.5 million attendees throughout the Festival, March 20 – April 13.
One hour.  Sixty minutes. 3,600 seconds.   Lunch break. Pilate’s class. An episode of The Bachelor (don’t pretend you don’t watch).   In one hour you can get a haircut or pedicure, take a nap, or ride the metro from Franconia-Springfield to Silver Spring. In sixty minutes you can bake a cake, write a letter, or (start to) work on your taxes.
Restaurant Week has something for every diner; from locally-sourced fine dining to rustic Italian, from sushi to South American grill, from fresh Chesapeake seafood to tender Australian lamb to incredible desserts and so much more. We welcome you to dine out, eat up, and experience the culinary talent this region has to offer.
