Moderated by Mary Beth Albright, Food Anchor for The Washington Post. Mary Beth is a food attorney who has engaged in a wide range of agriculture issues during her 25-year career in Washington, DC, from media, public health, government, and legal positions

Our guest speakers include:

  • Brady Lowe-Founder of Piggy Bank, a pig farming sanctuary which provides free genetics and access to shared business plans to emerging family farms.

  • Jon Jackson-Decorated combat veteran who served as a US Army Airborne Ranger. Jon founded STAG VETS INC. in 2014 to assist homeless veterans, veterans in need, and veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury to ensure Veterans could receive the care they deserved and use sustainable farming as a tool to build communities and instill a sense of pride into the team of vets that are working through the program.

  • Quintin Gary-worked on food safety issues/projects for more than 30 years in Africa, the Middle East, and in South Asia (Afghanistan and Pakistan).

  • Michael Santoro-Executive Chef of The Watergate Hotel. He brings his experience as a chef in six different countries including work at The Fat Duck in London and Mugaritz in Spain under acclaimed chef Andoni Luis Anduriz. After three years under Executive Chef Brian McBride at Washington’s Blue Duck Tavern, Santoro relocated to Philadelphia to become the Executive Chef at Talula’s Garden and then the proud Owner and Executive Chef of The Mildred Restaurant.
