Cocktail Nominees Hold In-House Promotions Thursday, May 22

Washington, DC (May 7, 2014)Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) has exciting special events planned for the 2014 RAMMY Awards Cocktail Program of the Year finalists.

On Thursday, May 22, Cocktail Program of the Year finalists will showcase the diversity, clarity and value, of their outstanding craft cocktail program through in-house promotions, reaffirming why they deserve to win one of the region’s premier industry accolades – a RAMMY. Guests are encouraged to come out and support their favorite watering hole.

On May 22 from 6pm to 1am, Black Jack will be transformed into a wild RAMMYS carnival. Guests will be able to purchase $1 drink tickets to be redeemed for Bar Manager E. Jay Apaga's specialty cocktails at different cocktail stations. Alternatively, guests can drop their tickets into a jar for a bar tab raffle. With carnival games to play at each of the drink stations and delicious carnival treats being passed around, this event is not to be missed.

Bourbon Steak’s beverage program utilizes the highest quality ingredients, focusing on preserving classic and modern cocktails and adding a twist to innovations of their own. From hand-squeezing citrus juice daily to making bitters, syrups and tinctures of their own, it’s no surprise the steakhouse is a RAMMYS finalist. On May 22, to celebrate their nomination, Bourbon Steak will feature the Susan Lucci made with Maker's 46, Creme de peche and citrus berries.

From 6-10pm on May 22, stop by the upstairs bar at The Gibson for a pre-prohibition happy hour featuring $8 classics. In order to get a full feel for the RAMMYS nominated craft cocktails, a limited original menu will also be available. Come out for the inspired drinks and inviting atmosphere and stay for the good times at this no reservation event.

Join Jack Rose Dining Saloon for a multi-floor celebration on May 22. In order for guests to experience the diversity and range of their individual cocktail themes, Jack Rose will feature two cocktails from each floor: Sao Paolo sunset and back porch at the Terrace, the art of deception and like strawberry shine in the Saloon and ode to Omaha and skye high at the new Dram & Grain. From 6:30-8:30pm, each cocktail will be on special in their respective spaces for just $10.
