DC Brau Flagship Beer Earns Silver at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival

Washington, DC – The Citizen’s can isn’t the only thing that is silver these days. DC Brau’s flagship Belgian-Style Pale Ale earned a second-place medal in the Belgian- and French-Style Ale category at this year’s Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver, Colorado, over the weekend.

“It already was such a great honor to be out in Denver pouring our beers at GABF alongside some of the best craft breweries in the country,” says Brandon Skall, CEO & co-founder of DC Brau Brewing Company. “We’re ecstatic to bring home a medal for The Citizen to the citizens of the District!”

Other winners in the category – which had 27 entries overall – included the Grisette from Sly Fox Brewing Company in Pottstown, PA (Gold) and the Barren Hill Biere De Extra from Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery in Lafayette Hill, PA (Bronze). This is the second year that DC Brau has participated in GABF, and the second time medaling in this category.
