DC BRAU TO RELEASE FIRST-EVER BARLEYWINE THIS WEEKEND

January 2, 2018
First of an Unpredictable Series of Beers Available Exclusively at Brewery

Washington, DC – January 2, 2018 – DC Brau is starting the new year with new beer — a barrel-aged English-style Barleywine they’ve dubbed SLEEPING STANDING UP. This will be the first barleywine produced by the team, available exclusively at the brewery in limited supply starting this Saturday, January 6th.

“We’ve been dabbling with barrel-aging for the last couple of years with one-offs and special events, but we’re stepping up the program big time in 2018. This English-style Barleywine has been aging in 25-gallon One Eight Rye Whisky barrels for the last three months,” says co-founder and head brewmaster Jeff Hancock. “Boozy & aromatic, SLEEPING STANDING UP
boasts flavors of marmalade, candied orange and dry fruit cake that excite the palate, liven the senses, and warm the soul. Perfect drinking for colder weather!”

The beer will be available in 16-ounce tall boy single cans or four packs exclusively at the brewery.
