What to Expect from Metropolitan Washington Summer Restaurant Week
Diners Can View Menus and Book Reservations at RWDMV.com

Washington, DC (July 11, 2017) – Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is pleased to announce the restaurants who will be participating in Summer Restaurant Week from Monday, August 14 to Sunday, August 20, easily searchable at www.rwdmv.com. The semi-annual regional event features the best restaurants around metropolitan Washington, enticing locals and visitors alike with special menus at more than 250 local businesses. Restaurants in DC, Maryland, and Virginia will serve up multi-course meals, with dinner menus available for $35, lunch menus for $22, and returning this Summer Restaurant Week, brunch for $22.

Over Summer Restaurant Week, RAMW also launches a new initiative designed to raise awareness about hunger and food accessibility in the capital region. Throughout Summer Restaurant Week, participating locations will team up with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) to raise funds for the food bank’s nearly 500 food assistance partner agencies. Many restaurants have opted to donate a portion of proceeds earned during Restaurant Week to CAFB. Each dollar donated will provide more than two full meals for someone in need in the region.

Restaurant Week is also a perfect time to try something new, whether it be an exotic cuisine, or a hot new spot across town. New restaurants participating in Restaurant Week include:
  • Alta Strada Mosiac District (Fairfax, VA)
  • Arroz (Mt Vernon Triangle)
  • City Perch Kitchen + Bar (Bethesda, MD)
  • Espita Mezcaleria (Shaw)
  • Haikan (Shaw)
  • Sally’s Middle Name (H Street Corridor)

Over 50 restaurants will offer $22 brunch menus during Summer Restaurant Week, making August 19 and 20 the best weekend of the season to enjoy dishes like a Duck Confit Eggroll at Slate Wine Bar in Washington’s Glover Park neighborhood, Oven-Roasted Crab Cakes Benedict at Wildfire in McLean, VA, or the Deviled Lamb Rillettes at Requin in Fairfax, VA. Restaurant Week also provides the perfect opportunity for guests to visit many of the 2017 RAMMY Awards Finalists, who are recognized by RAMW for their excellence in service and dining. Among the Restaurant Week participants, 40 are 2017 RAMMY Finalists and include:

  • Centrolina (Chef Amy Brandwein nominated for Chef of the Year)
  • Fiola Mare (nominated for Formal Fine Dining Restaurant, Brandon Malzahn nominated for Pastry Chef of the Year)
  • Indique (nominated for Upscale Casual Restaurant and Cocktail Program of the Year)
  • Whaley’s Restaurant & Raw Bar (nominated for New Restaurant of the Year)
