2021 DowntownDC Momentum Awards
The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) is thrilled to announce its 2021 Momentum Awards winners, which celebrate the visionaries who made significant contributions to maintaining DowntownDC’s vibrancy and proved their resiliency in the face of a challenging year.
Usually revealed toward the end of the calendar year, the 2021 awards and corresponding celebration event were put on hold due to the rise of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. With the variant on the decline and larger gatherings once again possible, the BID will honor the 2021 winners on March 24, 2022, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.
"The Momentum Awards have been a BID tradition since 2001, an opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate those who have made important contributions to the neighborhood," said Acting President and CEO Gerren Price. "The 2020 awards event was virtual. This year we believe it's vital to gather in person, which is why event slogan is 'Together Again.'"
Limited tickets are available for the public to attend the ceremony. The celebration will kick off at 5:30 PM; business attire is required.
