Arlington County Small Business GRANT 2.0 Now Open

Arlington's Small Business GRANT 2.0 program is now open for applications. The program will provide direct financial assistance to 200 eligible Arlington businesses struggling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses that are eligible for an Arlington Small Business GRANT 2.0 must:
 
  • Be in one of the following industry categories:
  • Arts and Entertainment
  • Child Care
  • Hotel and Accommodations
  • Personal Services
  • Restaurants and Food Services, including food trucks
  • Retail
  • Have one or more locations in Arlington County, including the principal place of business
  • Operate from a physical brick-and-mortar location in a commercially zoned area
  • Have fewer than 50 employees across all Arlington locations as of July 1, 2021
  • Have a 2021 Arlington Business License
  • Have no outstanding Arlington tax obligations as of August 1, 2021
  • Give permission for grant administrators and reviewers to access Arlington Commissioner of Revenue and Arlington Treasurer’s Office information
  • Complete the Arlington Small Business GRANT 2.0 online application form and certify that all answers are true and accurate
 
The following businesses are ineligible to apply for an Arlington Small Business GRANT 2.0:
  • Businesses that have received federal and/or state financial assistance for COVID-19 relief
  • New businesses that have been open since July 1, 2021
  • Businesses that are permanently closed
  • Web-based businesses
  • Franchise businesses, except those which are locally owned and operated
  • Businesses that are engaged in illegal activities
  • Government entities, including political divisions of the Commonwealth
 
Businesses whose staff are fully vaccinated or follow COVID-19 testing protocols will receive funding priority. To learn more about eligibility, visit the GRANT 2.0 application.
 
200 applicants will be randomly selected and awarded $10,000 each in financial assistance. The grant can be used for rent, employee salaries and benefits, and/or other capital and operating expenses related to the impacts of COVID-19. Applications are open until Wednesday, October 20.
