Beauty Champagne & Sugar Boutique Wine Tasting & Pairing Around the World in Fine Small Plates & Five Wines

 

The theme of the dinner is Around the World, with stops in Austria, Spain, Italy, and even Maryland. 

 

The first two courses visit Austria. The evening begins with two passed appetizers: Deviled Eggs with Smoked Salmon and Salmon Caviar and Rosemary, Almond and Parmesan Shortbread. The wine pairing is Steininger, Gruner Sekt Reserve, Kamptal, Austria. Next, a Duo of Rugelach: Onion Jam and Goat Cheese and Rosemary, Fig Jam and Caramelized Onions is paired with Hillinger, Secco Rose of Pinot Noir, Pink Ribbon Edition, Burgenland, Austria.

 

The Basque Region of Spain follows. A Melon Gazpacho is topped with Crispy Ham and served with a Spanish Tortilla. This course is paired with a Txakoli White Wine, a lightly sparkling, dry white wine from the Basque Region.

The Barbera Nouveau from Loew Vineyard in Maryland pairs perfectly with Italian dishes so a Ricotta and Roasted Grape Crostini is served with a Panzanella Salad. This woman-owned vineyard is a favorite, and their wines have been featured in Beauty’s “Bellezza Wine Club.”

Dessert is Flourless Chocolate Cake topped with a dollop of Strawberry Prosecco Jam from DiBruno Bros. and paired with a dessert wine, Little Bosco Malvasia di Don Bosco from Piedmont, Italy.

Beauty is a Wine Bar, Bottle Shop, Bistro & Boutique. It has an on and offsite wine and beer license. Outside seating is available on the front lawn. Beauty is available for private events.
