Open Enrollment Starts November 1st for Health Insurance Coverage via the Affordable Care Act (ACA)

October 28, 2021
DC Health Link, the District of Columbia's Affordable Care Act health insurance marketplace, offers 25 different health plans for District residents to fit all budgets. There are PPOs, POSs, and HMOs—low and high deductibles—and HSA compatible plans from CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente. Fifteen of the 25 plans even cover medical services without having to first pay your deductible, including urgent care, specialists (including mental health), primary care, and generic medication. All District residents qualify for coverage through DC Health Link and may even qualify for reduced premiums.

District residents can go to DCHealthLink.com right now to preview available health plans to prepare for Open Enrollment starting November 1. DC Health Link’s consumer decision support tools (ranked number 1 among state marketplaces) make it easy to compare and shop.

Through our partnership with DC Health Link, we would like you to consider the following opportunity to help your part-time, temporary/seasonal workers, and 1099 contractors, to enroll in quality health insurance through the District’s ACA marketplace if you don’t offer a health plan.

To make it easy, DC Health Link can send an expert health insurance Assister and Broker to your business to educate and enroll those who are interested in coverage. There is no fee for this service for your or your employees.

RAMW is happy to help coordinate a DC Health Link Assister and Broker to talk with those that are interested in coverage at your business; we can also arrange for a virtual session with a Broker for individuals to join.

Please email us at coverage@ramw.org with questions, to request that a DC Health Link Assister and Broker come to your location, or to arrange virtual sessions for individuals interested in coverage.

We hope to enroll make sure that your District resident workers get covered through DC Health Link as soon as possible!
