Support The Educated Eats Auction by Donating Silent Auction Items

August 3, 2016

Our 17th annual fundraiser and silent auction benefiting Educated Eats (EE), RAMW’s Education Foundation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Last year, we raised over $16,000 to support culinary education, enabling 6 deserving applicants to further their education with the assistance of a scholarship. We hope we can count on your support this year as we aim to surpass this fundraising goal.

The mission of Educated Eats is the promotion of the restaurant industry as a career of limitless opportunity. Scholarship recipients are able to pursue their culinary education at prestigious institutions such as Stratford University, the Culinary Institute of America, and Johnson and Wales. By donating to the silent auction you will not only be endorsing the valuable work done by the organization, but you will also be financially sustaining our ongoing scholarship program.

RAMW is seeking in-kind donations to be used at the annual Educated Eats Scholarship Silent Auction. The silent auction items will be grouped into curated packages for bidders to enjoy. The auction will be hosted again online at www.BiddingforGood.com as well as on site at the fundraiser. The online fundraiser will begin August 15th!

The ideal items for donation are:

  • Gift certificates for specific restaurant experiences such as “Lunch for 10 for Your Office”, or “Private Dining Experience for 6”, “Pizza Making Class for 6”, “Wine Pairing for 4”, for example.
  • Trips or Vacation packages; use of Vacation properties
  • Tickets to cultural events, theater events, sporting events, amusement park, or foodie events
  • Golf packages, driving range access, etc.
  • Jewelry, housewares, or other gift package (must meet minimum $150 value)
  • Restaurant gift cards (must be $200 or more)
  • Hotel room stays in DC Area or Out of Town
  • Spa packages
  • Professional Services Credit (3 hours of legal consulting, 3 hours of design consulting, etc)
  • Financial contributions to Educated Eats are welcome as well

In addition to supporting this very worthy effort, the auction and networking event is a great way to connect with the restaurant community and highlight your business as a supporter of culinary education and the restaurant industry.

To make a donation, please fill out the Silent Auction Donation Form and follow the form instructions to submit. Please have all donations delivered to RAMW by Friday, August 12th.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our Educated Eats fundraiser happening in the fall of 2016. Look out for the invitation coming soon.
