Dear Friends of RAMW,

This year is not like any other year, and this industry is not any other industry. The restaurant and hospitality industry across the Metropolitan Washington region consistently stands tall as one of the strongest industries in our area, one of the top employers, and a training ground for so many to build careers and thrive. It is a tight knit community of friends and colleagues who support one another, and who continue to push forward through the most challenging year they’ve ever encountered. 

As RAMW and our 501c.3 Education Foundation (Educated Eats) prepare for our annual silent auction fundraiser, we are seeking your support. With the many challenges our industry is facing as a result of COVID-19, our fundraising efforts this year will directly benefit the RAMW Workers Relief Fund, established in partnership with Hook Hall Helps to support industry employees who have been devastated by this pandemic. The Worker Relief Fund supported thousands with hot and packaged meals and supply kits to sustain them through the early Spring and Summer months. As cold winter months arrive, we know this industry support will be critical for employees, and to continue to fund community kitchens across the region. The silent auction is seeking unique items to catch the eyes of holiday shoppers who want to support as they spend, and we need your help! 

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING AN ITEM OR PACKAGE TODAY! 

Suggested ideas for auction items: 

• Trips, weekend getaways, or vacation packages; use of Vacation properties 

• At Home subscriptions - Coffee of the month club, educational kits, or other home delivery subscriptions

• Sports memorabilia or experiences

• Fine wines and spirits

• Cocktail Kits; Foodie provisions kits

• Virtual Cooking classes or cookware

• Golf outings, driving range access, etc.

• Meal Kits, catering offers, or packages such as “Dinner for 6 Delivered to Your Home”, or “Holiday Meal Delivery for 2-4”

• Restaurant experiences such as “Outdoor Dinner for 4”, “Virtual Pizza Making Class for 4”, “Virtual Wine Pairing Experience for 2 with delivery of dinner and wine”.

• Tickets to unique virtual/streaming events.

• Jewelry, housewares, or other gift package (must meet minimum $150 value)

• Personal services - hairstyling, nails, pet grooming

• Professional Services Credit (3 hours of legal consulting, 3 hours of design consulting, etc)

Don’t have a creative idea but want to help? Financial contributions to RAMW Worker Relief Fund are welcome as well and can be pledged for RAMW to use to purchase items of value for the silent auction. Click here to make a donation.
