DC Paid Family Leave Town Hall with DOES

Calling all DC employers and workers!

Join the DC Department of Employment Services’ (DOES) Office of Paid Family Leave (OPFL) to learn about the rollout of employment benefits under the Universal Paid Leave Act of 2016.

OPFL will share how businesses play an integral role in securing thriving communities in the District and how eligible DC workers can benefit from the program, beginning July 1, 2020.

Location: True Reformer Building - Lankford Auditorium (1200 U Street NW, WDC 20009)

The DC Paid Family Leave Act offers:

  • 8 weeks to bond with a new child
  • 6 weeks of family leave to care for an ill family member with a serious health condition
  • 2 weeks personal medical leave

Please note: To accommodate a large number of participants, two (2) town hall sessions will be held, each of which will provide the same information.
