Strawberriesfeatured in a celebration of an early Washington, DC Spring

 

 We are so excited forthe next Locavore's Dinner Series, which continues on Saturday, April 21st.Celebrate local food and wine with Sonoma with a themed $35 four course chef'smenu. This month we are particuarly excited to announce that the dinner willincorporate and highlight this year's arrival of mid-Atlantic Strawberries.

The first bite of a juicy in-season, local strawberry from a local farm, in ourcase from the Virginia co-op The Fresh Link,is a sure sign that winter is (finally) over. Chef Michael E. Bonk hasdedicated this month's Locavore's Dinner to welcoming the Spring through thisfavorite fruit. 

And, for all those who are wine-loving‘oenophiles’ as much as they are local-food loving ‘locavores,’ our in-houseSommelier and GM Patricia Ely has you covered with our recognized wine list ofindependent Italian and West Coast producers.  
This month, Patricia has selected a specially paired wine flight for the dinner (17.00 for three selections) and Stone Mountain Vineyard’s “Bacon Hollow Sunset” Cabernet Franc from Monticello, Virginia for 22.00 bottle.


The Locavore Dinner Series @ Sonoma, provides Chef Michael Bonk with the opportunity to explore and share his personal culinary influences through special seasonal menus composed from the bestregional ingredients.
