“Sustainable” is a term increasingly used to reference a wide range of products or practices promoted by supporters as representative of good environmental stewardship, healthier food production and compassionate treatment of animals, among other targeted traits.

How do consumers view and prioritize sustainability goals among businesses and support them, if at all? And what are the incentives prompting some restaurant operators to pursue sustainably produced products and adopt environment and animal friendly business practices?

This webinar, the first in a series of four, will endeavor to answer those questions by:

- Looking at research into consumer demand for sustainable products and business practices from the companies they deal with and how they reward like-minded brands.

- Reviewing research into specific sustainability strategies being adopted by foodservice operators and the rate at which those strategies are being adopted.

- Presenting a multi-unit operator who has aggressively adopted sustainability strategies to share his reasons for the move and what he is hearing from guests and employees about it.
