Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority announced the District has joined “Get Covered 2021”, a national movement to promote COVID-19 safety and health insurance enrollment. Get Covered 2021 is driving toward a national “Get Covered America Day” on Thursday, December 10, 2020 and will continue through the open enrollment period and into the new year.

Through the ServSafe Dining Commitment, operators pledge to follow four best practices that are effective means for reducing the transmission of COVID-19. Nearly 10,000 restaurants have made the commitment in which they pledge to:
Adhere to the updated COVID-19 Safe Operating Guidance and/or corporate brand guidelines, which are based on CDC, FDA, EPA and OSHA guidelines.
Adhere to the laws and guidelines set by their state and local municipalities.

In 2020, the first $137,700 of wages or self-employed income are subject to a 12.4% Social Security tax. The Social Security tax gets split by the employer and employee on wage earnings while the self-employed earner is liable for the full 12.4% Social Security tax. (WASHINGTON, DC) – Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority announced that the District has joined Get Covered 2021, a national initiative to get uninsured Americans covered and promote information about quality affordable health plans and premium reductions. RAMW is working with DC Health Link to provide free seat and floor decals to remind customers to maintain 6 feet between themselves and others. These decals are intended to be an aid in business operations to keep patrons safe and healthy, while complying with the Mayor’s orders for social distancing.
