RAMW is seeking a full-time Industry Events and Fulfillment Specialist to manage Association internal and external events, special events, meetings, and training workshops. The ideal candidate will be happy in a fast-paced, demanding, team-oriented environment and also comfortable taking initiative and working independently. The ability to multitask and handle diverse projects and deadlines is a must. Superior communication skills and a high degree of discretion are also required. 
 
Position duties include but are not limited to: 
  • Coordinate various RAMW events (average 10-12 per year, 10-500 guests), with management team, to secure venues, manage run of show and logistics details, create and secure materials and rentals, manage vendors, staffing, and guestlists. Events include networking events, Annual Meeting, fundraising events, speaker panels, meetings, and more. 
  • Serve as assistant event coordinator for annual gala and awards show planning and execution. Manage various assigned duties for event to support Managing Director and President.
  • Support membership-driven educational programming, seminars, workshops, and roundtables.
  • Support sponsorship fulfillment throughout the year to ensure that deliverables are met internally and as they relate to events and programming for sponsors and strategic partners. Assist with development of new sponsors and partners with management team.
  • Write, develop, and schedule/post social media content to promote and to specifically support events and partnership deliverables before, during, and after events.
  • Secure interns year-round and manage assignments for interns with various department heads.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience with Google Suite applications
  • Strong attention to detail, visual-orientation and organization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively adjust when needed
  • Physically capable to lift, bend, reach and move up to 20 pounds 
  • Valid driver's license
*Interest in or knowledge of DC food scene a plus, but not required
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1-year prior event planning experience
