2019 James Beard Foundation Award Restaurant and Chef Finalists Announced

At a ceremony at Hugo's by JBF Award winner Hugo Ortega in Houston, James Beard Foundation announced the 2019 finalists in their Restaurant and Chef, Media, and Restaurant Design categories. See the full list!

The 2019 James Beard Awards Gala will take place on Monday, May 6, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. The 2019 Leadership Awards will be held on Sunday, May 5 in Chicago, and the 2019 Media Awards will take place on Friday, April 26, at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Following are this year's RAMW member James Beard Foundation Award nominees, many of which who are notable as RAMMY Award finalists and winners:

  • Outstanding Pastry Chef: Pichet Ong, Brothers and Sisters (2018 & 2019 RAMMYS Pastry Chef of the Year Finalist)
  • Outstanding Restaurant: Jaleo (2013 RAMMYS Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year & 2018 RAMMYS Employee of the Year Finalist)
