Fifth Annual ROCKLANDS Hot Sauce Contest & Pig Roast Benefitting the DC Firefighters Burn Foundation

Arlington, VA – Bring on the heat! ROCKLANDS Barbeque and Grilling Company, home of the hot-sauce Wall of Fire, will host its 5th annual Hot Sauce Contest & Pig Roast benefiting the DC Firefighters Burn Foundation (DCFFBF), on Thursday, September 13 at 5:30 PM at its Arlington location (3417 Washington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201).

For $25, treat yourself to all-you-can eat whole-roasted pig accompanied by delicious ROCKLANDS sides and all you-can-drink Right Proper beer. Tickets can be purchased in advance via EventBrite or will be $30 at the door.

To enter the Hot Sauce Contest, whip up a batch of your tastiest and most delicious sauce and drop off at least a 20-ounce portion of your sauce, clearly labeled with your name and contact information, at ROCKLANDS by September 12 at 5 PM. No recipes needed. Entrants are eligible to use ROCKLANDS pepper garden (at its Arlington location) and must be present to win, prizes are:

  • 1st Place: Trophy; ROCKLANDS Gift Card
  • 2nd Place:  Trophy; ROCKLANDS and DCFFBF Swag Bag
  • People’s Choice: Trophy; ROCKLANDS Hot Sauce Gift Pack

About the D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation

The D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 2004 by active and retired Washington, D.C. Firefighters. The Foundation is dedicated to assisting in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured firefighters and burn patients in the D.C. Metropolitan Area. We support burn research, treatment, and rehabilitation programs at Washington Hospital Center as well as the Children’s Burn Camp Program.
