The Nage Burger Named One of the '50 Best in the United States'

June 17, 2009
nage logo.jpgWashington, DC (June 16, 2009) – The succulent prime-rib burger long-loved by fans of Nage Bistro is getting some national recognition as The Food Network magazine names the Nage burger one of the 50 “best burgers in the United States.”

The June 2009 issue of the new Food Network Magazine features a nation-wide search to find the best burger in every state, led by celebrity-chef Bobby Flay. In his description of Nage’s delicious burger, Flay mentions that “regulars (of the restaurant) get the rib-eye burger. The meat is mixed with mushroom duxelle and truffle oil.”

To give Nage’s burger its unique and mouth-watering flavor,  house-ground prime rib-eye beef is mixed with a puree of mushrooms and goat cheese, truffle oil and a secret spice combination. Onions slow-smoked with hickory, bay leaves and sage and later pickled with mustard seeds and cider vinegar join forces with a perfectly melting domestic Gouda to create multiple layers of delicious flavors. Brioche buns lending just a hint of sweetness, act as the perfect vehicle for the succulent burger that’s always cooked to perfection. And the piece de resistance, crispy shoestring frites of Idaho and sweet potato delicately flavored with truffle oil.

Priced at $13, Nage’s prime rib burger is available at both the bistro’s locations in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Scott Circle in Washington, DC.

Nage operates two locations; the original being a favorite among tourists and local residents in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and a three-year-old Washington, DC outpost three blocks from Dupont Circle, which was hailed by DC Magazine as a “hidden culinary gem.” Both locations offer a welcoming and friendly team, playfully creative menus and innovative wine lists.
