Support Local With Virginia Is For Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week! March 30 - April 5

March 27, 2020

With the closure of restaurant dining rooms, many Virginia restaurants have switched to takeout and delivery, allowing you to enjoy some of Virginia’s finest fare while also following Governor Northam’s mandates for the COVID-19 state of emergency.

If you are able to participate, you can support Virginia’s restaurants by ordering takeout, delivery, or curbside pickup from your favorite local dining establishments during Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week, happening March 30th-April 5th. Afterwards, share your takeout stories with us on social media with #VirginiaEatsLocal

Looking for restaurants offering takeout or delivery near you? We’ve rounded up the restaurants providing these services from many Virginia cities, towns, and counties to help you find all the restaurants that are currently open near you. Be sure to check back with your local list of restaurants periodically, as these openings are changing daily!

If you want to pair your meals with award-winning Virginia wines, craft beers, ciders, or spirits, consider ordering a few bottles from your local businesses if they are offering pickup or delivery alternatives.

Virginia Tourism is also selling limited edition “Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers” t-shirts, with a portion of the proceeds donated to local relief efforts for food service workers in crisis. You can purchase those t-shirts here.
