Dupont Circle Restaurant Will Offer $65 Seven-Course Seafood Menu from Executive Chef Ethan McKee on December 24

WASHINGTON, DC – Buon Natale! On Christmas Eve, Urbana will bring Italian holiday cheer to Dupont Circle with a special Feast of the Seven Fishes menu from Executive Chef Ethan McKee. The seven-course seafood menu will be available as a prix-fixe tasting menu for $65. Guests also have the option to select items a la carte or enjoy the modern Italian dishes on Urbana’s winter menu. Chef Ethan makes all pasta and pizza dough in-house and offers gluten-free options to ensure every guest is accommodated.  

On Tuesday, December 24, Urbana will showcase Feast of the Seven Fishes with a selection of Italian seafood dishes with a modern twist. Originating in Southern Italy and popularized in the United States, the customary Christmas Eve dinner includes multiple seafood courses designed to abstain from meat until Christmas Day. Chef Ethan’s interpretation of this holiday tradition features a menu of six, seafood-centric courses plus a dessert course.

These dishes include:

  • Baccala Fritter with salted cod, potatoes, pomodoro, and crispy capers
  • Salmon Carpaccio with Ligurian olive oil, lemon, chives, radishes, and crostini
  • Lobster Brodetto with littleneck clams, shrimp, mussels, and fregola
  • Squid Ink Gemelli with calamari, chili, herb breadcrumbs, and bagna cauda butter
  • Diver Scallops with farrotto, cauliflower, and black truffle
  • Black Sea Bass with roasted fennel, baby carrots, blood orange, and hazelnut butter
  • Affogato with chilled espresso, Nutella ice cream, and assorted Italian cookies

Urbana’s Feast of the Seven Fishes menu will be served from 5:30 - 10:00pm on Tuesday, December 24. The seven-course tasting menu will be available for $65 per person or guests may enjoy select dishes a la carte. Urbana’s winter dinner menu will also be available on Christmas Eve.
