The D.C. government launched a new Web site Thursday where residents and visitors can receive information and updates on the presidential inauguration next month.

The site, inauguration.dc.gov, includes maps as well as information on road closures, hotel rooms and transportation. It also links to the official inauguration committee for ticket information.

Pedro Ribeiro, a spokesman for Mayor Vincent C. Gray (D), said city officials designed the site to be a “clearinghouse” that eventually will be updated daily.

“It’s really a place to come for traffic advisories and get valuable links,” Ribeiro said. “If you have questions, at least you will be redirected to where you can find answers.”
