LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY ADVOCACY
We are working for you, and beside you, to help protect your business from harmful legislation and regulation while also supporting and proposing policy that benefits you, your business and your team. We work closely with local elected officials and agency heads to make sure they understand what it’s like to run a restaurant, and the impact of proposed legislation.
Through these unprecedented times we have been advocating tirelessly on your behalf to make sure our industry is prioritized in recovery and relief efforts at the local and federal levels. We are providing our community with real time updates and support so you are able to make the best decisions for your business, employees and customers. Training & Workshops
Food safety and responsible alcohol practices are fundamental to providing your diners and patrons good hospitality, and each of the jurisdictions we represent requires that there is a licensed food safety manager and alcohol manager on the premises during business hours. RAMW provides regularly scheduled
ServSafe Food Manager and
Alcohol Awareness classes,
online recertification,
sexual harassment, and
unconcious bias courses that focus on mitigation and management of issues associated with the work and safety of employees, and assist in strengthening every establishment’s stance against harassment in the workplace.
We also offer educational seminars to our members on issues impacting your restaurant today, such as: workplace and sexual harassment, immigration, crisis management, and through intimate roundtables we connect you directly with regulatory agency heads who handle health inspections, permitting, employment services, human rights and so much more.
COMMUNITY
We are your community and are here to give you a direct line of communication to other members. Our membership is also made up of
Allied members, who are service providers that you rely on daily. Additionally, we have a group of great
Endorsed Providers and Industry Partners who offer our members discounts, or other benefits, on their services to members; and we are here to connect you with these crucial providers. We also offer complimentary job board postings, networking opportunities, member meet ups, member newsletters, online event calendar, and again, so much more.
INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS
All RAMW Restaurant Member locations are shared through partner networks which lists our Restaurant Members alongside local performances and events. Additionally, our partnership with Events DC, local Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and similar organizations put your restaurant or restaurant group into the forefront of citywide events that bring in large numbers of visitors and hungry diners to the Metropolitan Area.
MARKETING & DINER OUTREACH
We want to drive diners to your restaurants. We do this through competitive and creative marketing campaigns that highlight and spotlight your restaurant through co-op advertising via major publications, television/radio spots, digital ads, social media, and outdoor advertising. Additionally, we have programming that includes free advertising through local and national partners, free outreach through our consumer newsletter and subscriber list, and free creative social media campaigns on RAMW's platforms. Our innovative marketing campaigns effectively target the dining community to complement and add to your own marketing line up.
The RAMMY Awards Gala also known as The RAMMYS is our black tie gala that celebrates excellence in the restaurant industry. There are 20 award categories that touch each aspect of the incredible work that you do, and as a member you are eligible to be nominated for a RAMMY Award. Along with the prestige and notoriety that comes with being a RAMMYS finalist and winner, we also have an aggressive marketing campaign that shines a light on your success.
Dues
RAMW membership dues are based on the annual gross sales of the location.* During these unprecedented times, we want to make sure no one is left behind. We encourage you to pay what you can from the below membership dues structure that is typically based on your annual gross sales.
