RAMMY-winning chef and James Beard-nominee to introduce curated menu featuring house traditions
and guest favorites to continue 15-year anniversary celebration and June 5 proclamation.

WASHINGTON, D.C., MAY 28, 2024 - Starting June 1, in conjunction with RIS by Ris Lacoste’s ongoing 15-year anniversary, RIS LACOSTE DAY on June 5th, and the upcoming RAMMY Awards season, the celebrated chef and restaurant will introduce a $20.09 RIS Bar Lunch honoring the property’s original 2009 opening.

Nostalgic pricing on selected entrees will showcase the American traditions that have become weekly must-haves amongst RIS loyalists, channeling chef Ris’ own family traditions and timeless classics that compliment the upscale, globally-inspired seasonal fare the West End establishment is known for. In honor of her recognition as the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington’s (RAMW) Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement honoree, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser honored. Lacoste’s nearly 40 years of service to Washington with a ceremonial anniversary marking the 2023 award.

Our $20.09 RIS Bar Lunch is just one of the ways we will continue fostering community by way of delicious dining, attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere,” said Lacoste of her anniversary efforts, “Washingtoninans, West Enders, and visitors have enjoyed the RIS Bar as an upscale
luncheonette since we opened, so we hope this extends the tradition of empowering lunches to an even wider group.

Owner and executive chef Ris and her team have spent 2024 thus far honoring Zeibert’s neighborly legacy through continued and ardent support to a number of global, national, industry, and local organizations including Girl Scouts of America, Regarding Her Food DC, RAMW, and DC Central Kitchen. In June and July, she will partner with purveyor and fellow restauranteur Greg Casten’s ProFish Seafood to host three graduates of DCCK’s Culinary Job Training Program for the second time, and will debut her annual Summer Restaurant Week offering in August.
