The Smithsonian Food History Weekend Dine Out
The Third Annual Smithsonian Food History Weekend takes place at the National Museum of American History October 26-28, 2017. The Weekend is three days of talks, tours, tastings, and events exploring the theme of “Many Flavors, One Nation.” On Friday, October 27, the Museum is organizing a special “Dine Out” evening with DC restaurants. Participating restaurants will feature a special dish or drink (or both!) on their menu inspired by Julia Child (the Museum is the home of Julia Child’s Kitchen), proceeds from the dish will go to support Smithsonian Food History programming.
