Get the Facts. Get Covered. Town Hall Conversations with the DC African Immigrant Community

DC Health Link in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of African Affairs will host a series of town hall conversation about health insurance during the pandemic. The first conversation in this series is “Get Facts. Get Covered: Health Insurance Literacy.” The complexity of health insurance choices can be overwhelming to many consumers especially members of immigrant communities. And because health insurance coverage impacts access to health care services, the need to understand health plan features is essential. To provide consumers with the tools needed to make informed choices and wise purchasing decisions about health plans, this town hall conversation will focus on what consumer need to know to choose plans best for them and their families and information about the basics of health insurance. Attendees will receive information and resources to aid in making informed decisions about health insurance options available through DC Health Link. Pre-registration is required.
