Panelists
Jaimey Bembry, an executive of Bhlen, brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, with a particular focus on helping restaurants and bars thrive. As an expert in driving product innovation, Jaimey has led the development of Bhlen to offer practical solutions that connect venues with local communities and increase visibility. His expertise includes analyzing customer behavior during peak times, slow periods, and special promotions, providing valuable insights into how venues can maximize success and enhance customer experiences.

Derek Battle, co-founder of Flave, a local company that leverages gamification to drive people to restaurants. Originally from Baltimore and now a D.C. native, Derek met his co-founder, Jal Irani, while pursuing an MBA in Entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University. Jal had extensive experience working with apps for mom-and-pop shops, and the two recognized an opportunity to further support restaurants by building on the motivation of customers capturing photos of food. In the past two years, Flave has gained over 10,000 users in the Greater D.C./Baltimore metro area, and they are proud partners with RAMW.
 
Alysa Turner, as the Social Media Director at Leading DC, Alysa has successfully guided social media initiatives for a diverse range of clients, from food and lifestyle brands to arts organizations, helping them grow their digital footprint. With 15 years of experience crafting results-driven communication strategies, Alysa brings a passion for online culture, social media strategy, content creation, and copywriting. 
 

Simone Phillips, an award-winning content creator, influencer, writer, and event curator who takes an engaging, informative, and uplifting approach to her local restaurants & events platform, Charm City Table. Averaging more than 2 million views per month, Simone has garnered features on national media outlets, including The Drew Barrymore Show, NPR, multiple local news stations, and VICE Media Group’s food channel, Munchies. 

With a passion for using food to unite communities throughout her hometown, Baltimore, Maryland, the DMV, and beyond , Simone has planned and executed successful digital campaigns and live activations with partners like UberEats, Pepsi Co., Whole Foods Market, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, and Comcast Corporation.
