New Local Minimum Wage Requirements for Montgomery and Prince George’s County Employers Effective October 1, 2014
New, local minimum wage rates take effect on October 1, 2014 in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. The following information is an overview of key requirements, exemptions and compliance issues. This information also addresses some key concerns, like wages for tipped employees/tip credit, which are unique to the foodservice and hospitality industry.
RAM will be hosting a local minimum wage compliance seminar during their Open House on October 16, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:30pm. This seminar will provide an overview of these two local minimum wage laws and provide an opportunity for Q&A. The seminar will be presented by Albert B.
