Foodservice company awarded by restaurant association

Belair Produce and Watermark Foods, a Hanover, Md.-based specialty produce and food supplier, is the 2009 winner of the Joan Hisaoka Associate Member of the Year award from the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, its representative restaurant association.

The company took home the award in recognition of its support and involvement with the association and its annual awards gala, the RAMMY Award Gala, according to a news release.

Rob Mumma, executive vice president of Belair and Watermark, spent eight years on the association’s RAMMY Gala committee, recently serving as co-chair. The company supplied micro greens, petite greens and edible flowers from Fresh Origins Farm, as well as specialty mushrooms from Phillips Mushroom Farms, for the gala dinner.Read the full story
