About Metropolitan Washington Resataurant Week

Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week is a week-long celebration of area restaurants; for local diners Restaurant Week is more than just a “deal” – it is an opportunity to try a new cuisine, explore restaurants in different neighborhoods or visit old favorites. For visitors to the area, it’s an opportunity to experience the best of our regional restaurants without breaking the bank. Recently named Bloomberg's "Most Exciting Food City in America", as well as named the coolest city in America, Bon Appetit's 2016 Restaurant City of YearZagat's Hottest Food City of 2016, PLUS earning it's very own Michelin Guide, DC is known for its restaurants. As one of the most highly anticipated food-related programs in region, restaurants in the promotion offer 3-course menus for lunch at $22, dinners for $35 and $55, or if you love a good brunch, enjoy menus at $22.

Participating restaurants use the promotion as an opportunity to “WOO” new patrons and “WOW” returning patrons. 90% of surveyed Restaurant Week diners say they are likely to return to their Restaurant Week picks and even more say they’ll recommend to others. The official Restaurant Week site, RWDMV.COM, diners can view the full list of participating locations, make reservations, view menus and sign up for RW Diner Rewards.

Diners who want to show off their plates and/or favorite dishes during Restaurant Week are encouraged to post pictures of their delicious eats to Instagram using the hashtag #RWDMV and tagging @ramwdc (don't forget to tag the restaurant too!). RAMW often reposts diners who take and share fabulous shots.

Restaurant Week is held twice per year - winter and summer - with the dates being announced at least 4-weeks ahead of the start of the promotion to the public via press notice, on RAMW's social media platforms and RWDMV.com. Restaurants voluntarily opt into the promotion and post their menus to RWDMV.com once they have determined their offerings.
