Amaro Class

Learn to love amaro, the bitter Italian herbal liqueur that’s becoming an increasingly popular digestif at Urbana’s recently remodeled double-sided bar. Guests will learn the run-down of need-to-know amari such as Amaro Nonino, Ramazzotti, Averna, Cardamaro, and Fernet Branca along with a few more obscure Italian brands; explain the different amaro styles; and discuss how these spirits can be served in a way that lets their natural bitterness shine without becoming overwhelming. This class is part of an ongoing series of amaro classes at Urbana. 3-4pm. $35 inclusive of tax and tip, as well as sips and a take-away. 2121 P Street NW.
