Early Mountain Vineyards Hosts Third Annual Oyster Festival on March 21

Rappahannock Oyster Company Providing Oysters and Other Fare

What: The third annual Early Mountain Vineyards Oyster Festival will return this year on Saturday, March 21^st, with an exciting new format. This year, Early Mountain has partnered with Virginia’s esteemed Rappahannock Oyster Company to provide their famous raw and steamed oysters (four for $5), crab cakes ($10), and Barcat oyster chowder laced with thick cut bacon ($5).

Limited non-seafood selections from Early Mountain Vineyard’s market place menu will be available and picnic lunches are also welcome in designated “picnic areas.”  

Admission includes entry to the festival, an Early Mountain wine tasting and a stemless wine glass as a take home treat. Guests can also order from Early Mountain’s extensive list of Virginia wines by the glass and bottle. Due to the high volume of oyster lovers, we will not be offering wine flights during our Oyster Festival!

Virginia band Mercy Creek will play live music throughout the day; their self-described musical style has elements of modern folk, world beat, rock and hints of blues and bluegrass.

The Oyster Festival will take place throughout the vineyard grounds. Tickets are required to all visitors that day and all ages are welcome for family-friendly fun.
