Valentine's Day & Anti Valentine's Day at The Daily Dish

In addition to a spectacular $45 Prix Fixe for Valentine's Day, The Daily Dish is also offering an Anti Valentine's Day Menu at their cocktail bar. (menus available at www.thedailydishrestaurant.com).

For some, Valentine’s Day is anything from a “Hallmark” moment. Let’s face it…not everyone is happily paired up on February 14th. The restaurant will present Unhappy Hour at the bar from 3:30-6:30 pm, on Valentine’s Day, with Flying Dog Raging Bitch & Snake Dog ($4); Suffering Bastard Cocktail ($5) and the perfect “I don’t care what my breath is like…because I’ll be talking to myself:" Olives and Pickled Garlic ($5); Anchovy Butter and Crostini ($6); and Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic Pita ($7).

From 5:30-9:30, they will offer a $45 Prix Fixe for lovebirds in the restaurant and will cater to singletons at the bar with libations including Love on the Rocks--Grand Marnier, Raspberry Liqueur, Cranberry Juice, Lime, Bitters ($14) and Blood Orange Margarita--Fresh Blood Oranges, Jose Cuervo 1800, Cointreau, Fresh Lime Juice ($12.50).

Taking the lead from pop culture, The Daily Dish is serving angsty bar diners an a la carte menu including, Consciously Uncoupled--Vegan Lentil Patty topped with Beef Short Rib ($12); Lipstick on a Pig--Pork Belly, Charred Red Beets, Blood Orange Gastrique ($10); In a Pickle--Salad of House Pickled Vegetables with Caper Vinaigrette ($9); You’re Not My Lobster--Lobster filled Ravioli ($22 for three of them, to make sharing difficult); and Love Stinks--a platter of stinky cheeses with Housemade Jams, Chutneys, Pickles, Baguette and a sharp knife ($15).

Everyone deserves a happy ending. Dessert items include Love is Bitter (sweet) --a bittersweet Chocolate Pot de Crème ($6) and You and Tequila Make Me Crazy--a shot of Corralejo Tequila ($6). The full menu is below.
