WAG THE BAG

(Doggy, that is)

Well, it snuck up on us on quiet little puppy feet, but break out an open, partially consumed bottle of wine, ‘cause you can now send your customers home with their leftover wine in a sealed “Wine Doggy Bag”. This is one of those pieces of legislation that is so very reasonable but took a whole lot of time and energy to get some legislatorsto see the light thanks to Team RAMW, especially Andrew J. Kline. Imagine now that your customers will be able to enjoy only as much wine as they want and take home the unfinished portion of their bottle of wine.

If you are reading this…

...you apparently survived 2008 Summer Restaurant Week. This was the biggest one yet—208 participating restaurants—and initial reports indicated that the dining public was more than just a little pleased to have so many choices.

Happy Anniversary, Ben’s!

August 21st kicked off three days of celebratory events for Ben’s Chili Bowl’s 50th Anniversary. With support from some of the more prominent organizations in the city, including RAMW, Ben’s hosted free concerts and block parties - sharing the celebration with the folks that have supported Ben’s through the last half century.
