DC Brau Does DC Beer Week 2019

Highlights Include 8th Annual Crabfest at Quarterdeck & Sunset Beer Cruise on the Potomac

Washington, DC (August 2019) - DC Brau is gearing up for another fun-filled DC Beer Week in the nation’s capital next month from Sunday, September 8th through Sunday, September 15th. In addition to participating in a variety of larger events throughout the week at Bluejacket, Boundary Stone and Roofer’s Union, the brewery is hosting its annual Crabfest at the Quarterdeck on Monday the 9th with a sunset beer cruise on the Potomac to kick off the final weekend on Friday, September 13th.

Sunday, September 8th - Beer Week Kick-off Party at Bluejacket
DC Brau joins the larger DC brewing community at Bluejacket to kick off DCBW with the release of this year’s Solidarity brew.
 
Monday, September 9th - 8th Annual Genuine Crab Fest Monumental Extravaganza 
Quarterdeck Restaurant, Arlington, VA  | 5:00 - 10:00pm | $50
For the 8th year in a row, DC Brau and the Quarterdeck are teaming up for an epic crab-crackin’ get down which has become a staple of DC Beer Week. Celebrate indigenous beer and a favorite indigenous Mid-Atlantic delicacy at the Quarterdeck Restaurant in Arlington, VA with ALL YOU CAN EAT CRABS for $50 per person, plus $1 DC Brau drafts & $5 pitchers. Tuesday, September 10th - Battle of the Barrel Aged Beers at Boundary Stone
They've teamed up with Republic Restoratives for this year’s entry in the battle of the barrel-aged beers. Come out to try our Churros for Breakfast, an imperial pastry stout aged in barrels that previously held cinnamon whiskey and rum. A limited amount of this heavy hitter will also be available in the tasting room throughout the week.
 
Wednesday, September 11th - Roofers Union Kick the Keg Contest
They’re taking this year’s kick the keg contest to the extreme with their Third Eye, a kombucha pilsner that really helps beat the heat. Join them on the 2nd floor starting at 5:30pm for a pint or three to help them win that $300 donation prize for the Humane Rescue Alliance.
 
Thursday, September 12th - The Great Brau Cornholio Tournament Part 2 
Moreland’s Tavern  | 5:00 - 9:00pm | $30 Team Entry
DC Brau and Moreland’s Tavern present the 2nd annual Great Brau Cornholio cornhole tournament where teams of two play for fabulous prizes (and beer, of course). A limited number of two-person team slots are available for an entry fee of $30 per team, which includes six DC Brau’s per team. Friday, September 13th - Brau Poppin’ & Yacht Rockin’ Sunset Cruise
Departing from The Wharf  | 6:00 - 8:00pm | $75
DC Brau will be Sailing into the final weekend of DC Beer Week on the Potomac Riverboat Company’s Miss Mallory for the inaugural Brau Poppin’ & Yacht Rockin’ sunset cruise. Guests will Escape the worries of the world as we Ride Like the Wind along the majestic Potomac sipping on DC Brau and listening to Yacht Rock curated by the Brothers Brau. Ticket includes a 2-hour sunset cruise departing from The Wharf’s Transit Pier in Southwest DC, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a DC Brau. Additional beer and other beverages will be available for purchase on board. They'll also be celebrating Aslin’s Anniversary on Saturday, September 14th at their new facility in Alexandria.
